Terms of service

1. The service

FormatMyCV provides AI-powered CV formatting, storage and export tools for recruitment teams. We provide it "as is" and continually improve it.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity in your workspace. Admins should manage team seats responsibly. Seats are unlimited, so every colleague can have their own login.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of every CV and template you upload. We process it strictly to deliver the service, as described in our privacy policy.

4. Acceptable use

Don't upload content you don't have the right to process. Don't attempt to break the service, overload it, reverse-engineer it or access data that isn't yours.

AI output and your review

FormatMyCV uses AI to format and, when you choose, enhance CVs. You should review formatted output before sending it to clients — you remain responsible for what your agency sends.

Plans, allowances and credits

Each plan includes a CV allowance: 10 CVs in total on Trial, up to 300 per month on Essential and up to 700 per month on Pro. On paid plans you can purchase additional CV credits. Current plan details are shown on the pricing page.

5. Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. Cancel anytime from your workspace settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

6. Termination

Either party can end the agreement at any time. On termination we delete your data as described in the privacy policy (retained for 30 days for restoration, then permanently deleted).

7. Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid in the preceding twelve months.

Using the service responsibly

• Only upload candidate documents you're entitled to process for recruitment purposes.
• Review AI-formatted output before sending it to clients.
• Keep login details private and don't share a single account between people.
• Don't attempt to access other workspaces, overload the service or reverse-engineer it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed; material changes will be communicated to account holders.
